Marie was a proud graduate of Mount Carmel School of Nursing and dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. She loved to read and had an enduring passion for knitting. Marie enjoyed her quiet time but treasured the company of her beloved nieces and nephews. Her pride and joy, however, was cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her sisters, Sandra (Robert) Hatfield, Wanda (the late Charles) Mitchell, and Ruth (the late Mark) Capehart, as well as her brother, Charles (the late Kathy) Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim (the late Hester) Hewitt, and her sister, Linda Hewitt. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
