Michael was a man who stayed deeply connected to those he loved. No matter how busy life became, he made sure his family always knew they were cherished and never forgotten. Endlessly selfless, Michael was known for giving his last dollar to anyone in need without hesitation. His generosity was matched only by his kindness.
In his younger years, Michael was a dedicated bodybuilder, and his passion for fitness stayed with him throughout his life. He valued discipline, strength, and perseverance—qualities he carried both in the gym and beyond.
A true handyman, Michael could fix just about anything. Each of his children can recall a time when he showed up, tools in hand, ready to help solve a problem, repair what was broken, or simply offer his steady presence. His willingness to help reflected who he was at his core: dependable, caring, and always there.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard; his mother, Eva; his sister, Barbie; his brother, Chuck; his daughter, Angela; and Judith, the beloved mother of his son, Jared.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ninfa, and his loyal dog, Benji; his brothers, Ron and Tommy; his sister, Sue; and his children: Matt; Alexis (daughter of Angela); Ann; Tony (Kristina); Lisa (Ryan); Greg (Tiffany); Adam; Jared; and Gabe (Brandy). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sam, Johni, Logan, Zak, Ethan, Evelyn, Madalyn, Kaelib, Sophia, Kolin, Liam, Micah, Amya, Giselle, Maxson, Camdon, Gabriel, Brayden, and Alana; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Michael’s legacy is one of love, generosity, hard work, and connection. He leaves behind a family forever grateful for the memories he helped create, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont Ohio, on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to Sandusky County Humane Society or Hopfinger Zimmerman Memorial Park.
