Pam passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 25th while visiting her daughter in Mooresville. Pam retired from Lucent Technologies (formerly Western Electric), owned and operated her own business and worked for JR Motorsports. She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Margaret (Hosier) Snowball, Father, John R. Neff, Mother, Lois J. Brennon, Brothers, George P. Hanawalt, Edward D. Hanawalt and her beloved dog Toby. Survived by her children, Robert (Nicole) Ricketts; Georgianna (Mike) Scearce; John E. Smith; Grandchildren, Donna (Derrick) Brouhard, Allen Maxey, Scott Ricketts, RJ (Mariah) Otto, Kacey Otto, Macey Scearce, Amber (Lee) Cardinal; Sister, April Hanlon-Neff; Sister-in-law, Kelly Hanawalt; 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, cousins and special friends Paula Kleinhenz and Joyce Stroud.
When you think of Pam you think of the word family. Pam’s family was her world; this included her chosen family of friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Pam fully embraced the role of mother and mammie with pride, love and support. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, and no one went hungry when Pam was around. She had many recipes of her own and used family recipes passed down from her grandmother Margaret. Pam would move mountains to make sure those she cared about were cared for. No conversation with Pam was complete without an update about her children and grandchildren.
She had an infectious smile and laugh, and anyone who got to spend time with her was lucky indeed! Pam will always be missed but will live on through her beloved family and friends.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Nancy, Lori, Dr. Teodorescu, Mount Carmel Home Care, and Mount Carmel Hospital; your compassionate care and support meant so much. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten.
