

As the head librarian at the Columbus Academy for nearly twenty years, she interacted with people of all ages from all over the city. She was a member of civic and social organizations and especially enjoyed her association with the Board of Trustees of the Bexley Public Library, the League of Women Voters, the Rock Fork Ramblers, Twig 61 and the Chrichton Club.
Pat was born in 1937 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the eldest of three children. Throughout life she cherished her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and was instrumental in educating many people about the cuisine and traditions of Pennsylvania Dutch.
She grew up in Litiz, PA and then moved to Hershey where she graduated from Hershey High and attended Hershey Junior College. After moving to Ohio, she returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Ohio Dominican College with specialization in Library Science.
Pat was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed cooking, entertaining and gardening. She was a longtime member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Bexley.
She is survived by daughters Johanna Eisenberger MacAloney of Hingham, MA and Jennifer L. Eisenberger of Kailua, Hawaii, her sister Mary Sue Campise of Ellicott City, MD and brother Josef F. Heller, Sr. of Canal Winchester, Ohio as well as nieces and nephews, Joseph Heller Jr., Tishe Vardyan, and Lisa Miller as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service is to be held at 10:00 a.m., April 9th, 2022 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 S. Drexel Ave., Bexley. Visitation at St. Alban’s to follow the service. Service will also be live-streamed at https://www.Facebook.com/StAlbansBexley/.
