Richard "Dick" Dale Hensley

Richard “Dick” Dale Hensley, beloved husband and father, age 90, passed peacefully on January 23, 2025. He was born August 25, 1934 in Franklin County, Ohio. Dick was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and served in the US Navy on the USS Gearing. He married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary, in 1956 and shared 68 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Dorothy Hensley, father- and mother-in-law Lawrence and Hazel Fisher, brother-in-law William Stelzer, sisters-in-law Ruth Ann Stelzer, Polly Fisher and Ethel Fisher. He is survived by his precious wife Rosemary; children David, John (Susan) and Sally; grandchildren Trent, Justin (Bailey), Ryan (Blair), Jonathan, Andrew, Ashley and Jacob; great-grandchildren Justin David Jr. and Gwen Maya, brother Gary Hensley (Joan); brother-in-law Harold Fisher and many beloved nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

Written in his Bible….” O God, I do not ask for a life without wounds and defeats, but for the grace to rise again and go on with the battle, Amen. Read John 16:15-33”.

A graveside service will take place on July 23rd at 10:30am at Jefferson Township Cemetery, 870 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, at the intersection with Taylor road.
