Rita Eileen DiNardo

Rita received degrees from both Ohio University and The Ohio State University. She retired from Columbus Public Schools after teaching special education for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of Gender Road Christian Church where she played with the Bell Choir. Rita and Geno loved to travel and had many adventures with their friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ellen Burk. Rita is survived by her husband of 21 years, Geno DiNardo; her daughter, Kim (Keith) Stoker; step-children, Joey (Lilly) DiNardo, Tony DiNardo, and Christina Debold; sister, Kay Hayman; grandchildren, Ender and Frankie Stoker, Jacob and Jacinta Pettit, and Mya and Autumn DiNardo.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral services will be held following the visitation with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
