Roger grew up in The Bronx and later moved to Columbus as a young adult, where he built a full and meaningful life. Shortly after settling in Ohio, he met Debbie, the love of his life. The two were married on September 18, 1976, and spent nearly five decades devoted to one another and the family they created.
Roger was a proud Ohio State fan, an animal lover at heart, and someone who enjoyed good music—especially Steely Dan and Earth, Wind & Fire. He cherished time spent with his family and adored his grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Greenberg (née Benedetti); children Sarah (Greenberg) Kerr (Ryan) and Stephen Greenberg (Nicole); and his treasured grandchildren Hudson Kerr, Kennedy Greenberg, Hayes Kerr, and Chase Greenberg. He is also survived by his dogs, Max and Zoey, who were faithful companions. In addition, Roger leaves behind a brother, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Sarah Greenberg; his son, Jonathon Greenberg; and by his dearly loved dogs, Sammi and Tyson.
