Ronald was a proud graduate of Gahanna High School and dedicated much of his life to hard work and providing for his family. He most recently worked part-time for Kroger well into his 80s and previously served the Gahanna School System.
A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronald found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. He especially loved camping, fishing, and boating trips with his children, as well as quiet moments later in life spent with Ursula and his beloved cat, Josie. He was an avid bowler, earning numerous trophies and accolades over the years, and took great pride in teaching his children the sport—creating a cherished Saturday morning tradition. He also enjoyed playing pool, darts, and ping pong, and in his later years became well known for his impressive DVD collection, which grew to nearly 11,000 titles.
Ronald will be remembered for his resilience, including surviving a serious fall and enduring remarkable circumstances with strength and determination. He also leaves behind many fond and lighthearted memories, including moments that brought laughter to his family, such as time spent together on the water.
He is survived by his children, Debby (Alan), Brett (Dawn), and Sandy (Cindy); his grandchildren, Ronnie, Ricardo, Danielle, Bianca, Lauren, Paula, and Lindsay; and his great-grandchildren, Cason, Camryn, Declan, Owen, Bryce, Skylar, Brooklynn, Beckett, Berkley, Emma, and Blakely. He is also survived by his cherished companion Ursula and his cat, Josie.
Private services will be held for the family.
