Terry Buerger

Terry D. Buerger, a devoted father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Born to Adam and Marie Buerger on June 20, 1948, Terry brought joy, kindness, and an unwavering sense of dedication to all who knew him.

A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Terry’s love for the Buckeyes ran deep, and he was an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds. Whether cheering for his teams or spending time with family, Terry lived with a full heart and a passion for life.

Terry’s family was his greatest pride. He is survived by his beloved sons, Adam (Nicole) Buerger and Michael (Alex) Buerger. He was the cherished grandfather of Adam, Bailey, and Austin to Adam and Nicole, and Kate, Luke, and Paige to Michael and Alex. His love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, and he found immense joy in supporting them in all their endeavors.

Terry never missed a school event, sporting game, or milestone in his sons’ lives, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to family that was admired by all. Terry shared a meaningful connection with Marlene, the mother of his two sons. His warmth, generosity, and friendly nature made him a friend to everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.

Terry is also reunited in peace with his dear friend, Pam Whitehurst, who passed earlier this year, and his beloved dog, Chipper, who was his loyal companion for many years.

Family will receive friends to celebrate Terry’s life on Friday morning, January 3 from 10:00 until noon, with a service immediately following at Schoedinger-Margarum Funeral Home, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. The graveside service will take place at Grove Cemetery in Kenton close to 2:00 that afternoon.

The family kindly requests that donations be made in Terry’s name to a charity of your choice.

Terry will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, loyalty, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
