Just seeing this now. This is very sad news. Terry has been a lifelong friend for over 45 years. You'll remain in my heart and you will be missed. God bless you my friend.

I was so very sorry to hear about Terry’s passing and my thoughts are with all of you and your families at this difficult time. 

It feels important to echo what others are saying about Terry. He was definitely a kind man who loved his family. He always spoke so positively and proudly about his (and Eileen’s) children. I hope he told you all directly how important you were to him. He really wanted to be a part of your lives and I hope he was able to connect and experience good times with you over the years. 

I knew Terry both through my father at family gatherings in my teens and twenties and also in my very early professional career where he was by far one of the most respectful men I encountered in a male dominated industry where respect for the female in all honesty, was often non-existent. Terry spoke up for me and made me feel respected, valued and also protected. I learned a lot from him not only about the business but how to treat others as well. He was a fatherly gentleman for sure. 

Terry was proud of his work ethic and accomplishments. I always enjoyed hearing his life experience stories (ie. driving 
a bread truck, excelling in the insurance industry and his knack for using coupons and finding the best day-after-Christmas sale bargains! 

I can imagine he must have been missing his lovely wife Eileen terribly since she passed and it is my hope he is with her now. Terry and Eileen were two first class people who most certainly “fast-passed” right into Heaven.

In the early parts of 2013, I was  at a very low point in my life until Terry Welsh entered my life thru the men’s group of the New Albany First Church of Nazarene. Week in and week out, he built into me as a son and as a brother in Christ. He slowly instilled in belief in me that I had been missing. Fast forward 9 months later, I was back at a crossroads where to go in my professional life, he and a team of men came together to pray for me and a life journey. Equipped with a friend for life, I have since gone on in my life forever thankful for Terry. Every time, I came back to the Columbus area, I sought out to reconnect with this lifelong friend. I go forward daily wanting to be more like Terry in my personal and professional life as a living testimony to him.

My earnest prayers and condolences are offered up to the family!  It was my privilege to serve Christ and the Church with Terry at Grace Life.  He was a dedicated and loving church leader who practiced generosity to those in need and was loyal as the day is long to his local church and pastor!  Years ago Terry started an early morning men’s prayer group that met at a local restaurant which is still meeting to this day.  He was happiest when he was able to give to others whether it was offering the opportunity to church kids to come to his house and fill paper bags with candy or donating items that he purchased through his couponing to those in need.  His smile and laugh was infectious and would light up a room.  Terry will be missed and I look forward to seeing him in Paradise when our Lord calls me home.  The world was and is a better place because Terry Welsh lived in it!

Terry was my brother-in-law. I remember Terry is being a funny fun, loving guy. Never a dull moment with Terry around. He will be missed rest in peace brother.

Terry was definitely a giver. Over the years he welcomed many into his life when he could offer support - and sometimes even a home. He welcomed me into his family shortly after my Dad died, saying that I was too young to not have parents. He and Eileen were so excited to be a part of our kids’ lives and welcomed them as if they were their own grandchildren. 

Terry always brought such a fun energy, making every gathering an event to remember. And we all knew that Christmas was definitely his favorite of all events! I think it was just the perfect time to do the things he loved the most - bring people together, give gifts and make us laugh. 

He came from humble beginnings and through hard work and ambition, he started a successful business. He had an amazing way of connecting with people and making them smile, which served him well in contributing to his clients, the community and his church. 

Terry also loved a good deal! When he put his mind to it, he could do just about anything, including getting $300 worth of groceries for $4.05! His creativity and ingenuity was contagious. Terry has definitely been and will continue to be an inspiration in my life and many others. Love and appreciation to you Terry - and blessings and comfort to all who loved you and are missing you.
