Vernon "Pete" Barber, age 86, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Pete was born in Ashland, KY on December 6, 1935 and raised in the Southern Baptist Faith. He was an ordained deacon and attended Grace Polaris Church for many years. He retired from Ashland Chemical Co after 37 years. He was a lifelong UK fan, whose main interests were his religion and his family. He was also an avid square dancer for many years. Pete’s favorite leisure activity was golf and he was pleased to have ‘shot his age’ several times in his later years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Barber. Survivors include son, Keith (Mary) and grandchildren, Melanie, Nicholas and Mackenzie; daughter Sheri (Vicky) and grandchildren, Alyson (John), Taryn, Ashton, Kathy (Jenny), Randy (Sarah) and Justina; and daughter Marla (Chris) and grandchildren Madison and Caden. He is also survived by brothers Gene (Maggie) and Ray (Donna) and their families, as well as several cousins and great grandchildren.
