Weldon "Roy" Darst

Roy was a man of many talents, always mechanically inclined and with a knack for fixing things or building things with his passion for carpentry. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether hunting or spending time at his camper. He especially cherished moments with his grandchildren and was known for always helping friends and family. Roy truly never knew a stranger.

Roy is predeceased by his parents, "Bud" and Eunice Darst, and his sister, Arlene Wilson. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Brenda (Lonitz) Darst; his children, Jennifer (Patrick) Webster and Chad (Lexie) Darst; his siblings, Joe (Sue) Darst and Lois (Randy) Wilson; grandchildren George, Jase, Lucy, Kayla, and Andrew; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Those who do not wish to send flowers are welcome to make a charitable contribution in Roy’s name to Capital City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM. Roy's family will privately inurn his ashes at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
