William Dean White Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Bill) White Sr. who departed this life on June 12, 2025, at the age of 88. Bill was born on July 14, 1936, to the late Rose and Thomas White.

He lived a full life of joy, dedication and an unwavering love for his family and friends.

Bill was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Anna (Kathy) White, with whom they shared for more than 70 years. He was a loving father to his children Debbie Kerr and her husband Jack, Karen Lovejoy, and Michael White. He was preceded in death by his dear son, William “Billy” White Jr.

He is also survived by his sister, April Davis; sister-in-law, Betty Keaton; beloved grandchildren: Carl Paduch Jr., Brandy, Mikey, Stevie, and Ashley; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Kerr, earlier this year.

Bill enjoyed a long and successful career at Solid State Controls, where he worked for over 30 years, followed by 15 more years at Kroger after his retirement.

Bill found happiness and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He treasured moments with his family and friends. He was a talented cook and had a passion for golf.

A true Ohioan at heart, Bill was a loyal and enthusiastic fan of Ohio State and Cleveland sports teams. His dedication to his home and passion extended to his meticulous care for his lawn, which he often followed by relaxing outdoors, listening to his favorite music.

Bill’s kind spirit, warm smile, and friendly nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and a well-lived life.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Schoedinger Northeast in Gahanna and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Capital City Hospice.
