

Annie Lee Glasgow, age 96, a former resident of Russellville passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Annie Lee was born on March 23, 1915, in Marion County to Lindsey and Lucy Watkins. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Aurel (Bud) Glasgow, and her daughter Pamelia Glasgow. Her survivors include her four children: JoAnn Loden (Tommy) of Fultondale, Sarah Weaver (Cecil) of Atlanta, William A. Glasgow (Sarah) of Arab and Jennifer Gordon (Richard) of Birmingham; seven grandchildren: Barry Garrett (Pam) and Debra Loden of Birmingham, Ronald Brasher (Beverly) of Atlanta, Donna Williamon (Bobby) of Mt. Olive, Phillip Loden (Sandy) of Fultondale, Don Glasgow (Trina) of Guntersville and Shaun Glasgow (Amanda) of Madison; ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one sister, Opal Burleson of Haleyville. Annie Lee lived her life with faith, strength, humor and a deep love of family and home. That love, dedication and sacrifice touched each of us deeply, and we will always miss her, but we have comfort in knowing that she is whole again and is with Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers at Ridgeview Assisted Living, who have been an extended part of her family. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hackleburg First Baptist Church with burial in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at the church. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL.
