Barbara L. Cooper

July 3, 1941 - September 4, 2015

Barbara grew up in Walker County, Alabama; she went to school and college while living there. She then meets Morris who became her soul mate throughout her life. They lived in Fultondale for 32 years until they moved to Hayden to retire. She retired from Trinity Hospital and led a full and loving life with her family and friends. She will be loved and missed by all.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Mamie Lou Wills and Carl William Tidwell. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Morris Cooper; son, Michael Cooper; daughter, Christen Wrenn (Eric); brothers, Bill Tidwell (Carole) and John Wills; grandchildren, Casey Wrenn-Free, Hunter Wrenn, and Isabella Cooper; aunt, Eunice Tidwell; nieces, Tina Tidwell O’Connor, Lisa Tidwell Harris, Cindy Tidwell McClure, and Samatha Wills Hollingshead; nephews, Bill Tidwell, Jr., and Lee Wills; many other family members and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with a Celebration Of Life Visitation on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with Light Fare refreshments and a time of celebration and sharing memories for the family and friends; a funeral service on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11:00am followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
