Bernice L White

Bernice L. White, age 87, of Hayden, AL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 12, 2024. Born on March 20, 1937, to the late LB Browning and Dallas Browning, Bernice was a beacon of love and faith throughout her life.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bernice's heart of gold was evident in every facet of her life. Her cherished memories include her years spent painting ceramics, finding joy in watching Brother Swaggart and Frances and Friends, and breeding and raising championship dogs, whom she lovingly referred to as her "babies." In her quiet moments, she found solace in studying her Bible and worshiping.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 62 years, John D. White, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Rejeana Sligh; her son and daughter-in-law, John "Luke" D. White, Jr. and April; her granddaughter, Raven Keel and her husband Stephen; her great-grandson, David Patrick Coshatt III; her great-granddaughters, Kennedy, Ashton, and Alexi Keel; and her faithful furry companion, Minnie Pearl.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm, with burial to immediately follow at Hays Cemetery.

Bernice's legacy of love, faith, and joy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched.
