Betty F. Blankenship of Gardendale, AL passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Blackmon and Edna Blackmon; and a brother, Paul Blackmon. She is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Tammy R. Ervin (Hank); a son, Barry J. McDonald; and her grandson, Joshua McDonald; a sister, Sue Pardue; brothers, Max “Duke” Blackmon, Buell Blackmon (Kaye), and Alan Blackmon (Kendra); nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Thursday, October 30th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel beginning at 1 PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
