Betty was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 6, 1933. She left for her heavenly home on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Willie L. Dorough,father, Clarence O. Dorough, brother, Herbert Leon Dorough, husband, James Alvin Glover, and late husband, Lee Edward Franklin. Betty is a member of Gardendale Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and the Open Door Sunday School Class. She was employed by ConnecticuttMutual Life Insurance for 27 years, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 21 years. Betty was also an Avon Representative for 35 years. Betty is survived by step-daughters, Kristie Bradley (Richard) and Kay Matin (Stacy), and step-sons, Rex Franklin (Mary) and Jody Franklin (Carol); along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be this Wednesday conducted by Pastor Mike Pope at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Visitation will be at 10 am and services at 11 am. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
