Billy “Bill” June Odom, age 77 of Haleyville, AL and formerly a resident of Gardendale, Al passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015. Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and proudly served his country retiring with 22 years of service with the U.S. Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Dorothy Odom; two sons, Billy Odom, Jr. and Robert Odom; a step-son, Mike Blackwell; his mother, Annie Bell Odom; grandchildren, Calvin Odom, Robert Odom, Jr., and Daniel Blackwell; 2 brothers and 1 sister; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Odom; father, Felix V. Odom; and his sister.
Chapel funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jerry Boyles will officiate services.
