
Bingham Z. Farmer “B.Z.”, age 87 of Mt. Olive, AL passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church. He served his country proudly in World War II as a Military Policeman and was a retired engineer from Birmingham Southern Railroad. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfahter. He loved fishing and being with his family. He is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. B.Z. was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Doris Farmer, sister, Marguerite McConnell, brothers, J.W. Farmer and Farris Farmer. He is survived by his loving family, his children, Ronnie Farmer, Curtis Farmer (Rita), and Tammy Sutton (Daryl); and his grandchildren, Candie (Brian)Mayfield, Tracy (Tracy)Jackson, Amanda (Bobby)Corley, Whitney Painter, Bragan (Brett)Rowell, Kendall Thomas, Dylan Sutton, Brigitte (James)Noles, Robby (Hollie)Farmer, and Todd (Laura)Farmer; great grandchildren McKenzie, Ty, Karsyn, Berkley, Tucker, Cannon, Bo, Mollie, Aaron, Bailey, and Clay; brother, Harris Farmer; and sisters, Catherine Hawes and Ruby Keith
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM with chapel funeral services on Wednesday beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
