Boyce O. Berry, a man with a heart of gold, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26, 2024, at the age of 76. He was a selfless, caring, and kind-hearted person who always prioritized the needs of others over his own. Despite his rough exterior, Boyce was a giving man who found great joy in helping others.
Boyce loved spending time outdoors and developed a passion for gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed billiards and watching the University of Alabama Football. After graduating high school, he served his country in the United States Navy and later pursued a career as a truck driver.
Boyce was a devoted father who made many sacrifices to ensure his children had a good life. Even after retiring at 63 from his long-haul trucking career he began to help care for his mother until his health prevented him from doing so. Boyce had a deep love for his family and home and cherished them more than anything else.
Boyce is preceded in death by his father, O.B. Berry, his sister Carroll Reed, and his brother-in-law Larry Eddleman. Boyce is survived by his mother, Ola Mae Berry, his daughter Wendy Hollis, his son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Kristie Berry, his daughter and son-in-law Amber and John Ballard, his sister Vanita Eddleman, his brother-in-law Buddy Reed, and his four beloved grandchildren who gave him the title of “Papaw”, Kadie Berry, Doc Moore, Breagan Ballard, and McKayla Ballard.
The family invites you to join them on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel to celebrate Boyce's life and legacy.
