

Bryan graduated from Hayden High School and then joined the Airforce as a Security Specialist. He enrolled at Jefferson State Junior College after his military service. Also, he graduated from UAB Birmingham with a Criminal Justice Degree. He was accepted at Cumberland Law School, but he was led to enroll at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree and did some work on his Doctorate Degree. He served as Associate Pastor at Lakeview Baptist Church (New Orleans, LA); Mission Pastor at Hanna Baptist Church, Elk Mountain Community Church and Riverton Baptist Church (Wyoming); and Associate Pastor, Administrator and Minister of Education at First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive. He served as Chaplain of the Gardendale Police Department. He also served as the Administrative Lieutenant and the Lieutenant over the Police Officers of the Department. Bryan was also honored to attend the United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI National Academy in 2018. He earned the "Yellow Brick Road" award. He will be remembered as a mentor to many individuals.
He and his wife have been members of Hunter Street Baptist Church for nearly 13 years. He was passionate about teaching and Bible Theology. He taught various Old Testament and New Testament study groups.
Bryan is survived by his wife of 40 years, Traci Scoggins Lynch; his parents Eugene B. Lynch and Jeanne G. Lynch; his brother Michael E. Lynch (Laura); his two aunts, Joanne Belcher and Shirley Sloan (Wayne); his son Chad W. Lynch (Andrea) and grandson Ethan Graham Lynch; his son J Michael Lynch (Ashley) and grandsons, Conor J Lynch and Cade Michael Lynch; and his mother-in-law Nancy Witt Scoggins.

Services for Bryan will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Hunter Street Baptist Church, 2600 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244, with a time of visitation to begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM.
Bryan will be laid to rest in Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL.
