Clayton "Dale" Patillo

Since 1994, Dale was a dedicated professional in the trucking industry. For over thirty years, he was a mainstay of the highways, a career that reflected his steady nature and reliability. When his "final haul" was done, Dale was happiest retreating to the lake or the beach. He loved nothing more than a boat ride, the sound of good music, and the company of family and friends gathered around the grill.

An avid Alabama fan, Dale’s Saturdays were defined by his passion for the Crimson Tide. Whether he was at the water’s edge or behind the steering wheel, he carried a kind spirit that will be deeply missed by the Arley community.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, James Patillo.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Patillo; his brother, Scott Patillo, and sister-in-law, Amy Patillo; his niece, Amber Bowlin; and his nephew, Ryan Patillo. He also leaves behind a host of extended family, friends, and colleagues who will cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends and family for a visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Gardendale Funeral Home located at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, Alabama 35071. A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately at 1:00 PM.
