Clayton Beatrice Roberts, a resident of Fultondale, Alabama, was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on August 27, 1921 and she went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2018 at the age of 96. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Decatur Highway Church of Christ.
Clayton was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Joseph C. Roberts; her son, Glenn Dale Roberts; five siblings, and a great grandson, James Aaron Boozer.
Clayton is survived by her daughters, Frances Swann, Martha Scarbrough, and Edith Quick (Roger); brother, J.T. Eubanks (Martha); nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends and family. Special thanks to the staff of Alacare Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support of Clayton.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, April 2, 2018 with a visitation to begin at 10:00am; funeral service at 11:00am followed by her entombment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, AL.
