

Teddy Was preceded in death by his parents, Clellan "Red" Marston Travis, Sr and Dorothy Findley Travis. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of almost 50 years, Brenda Mickle Travis; his daughter, Tammy Travis Sweatt (Ron); five grandchildren, Hannah Grace Sweatt, Rachel Elizabeth Sweatt, Madeline Daisy Sweatt, Victoria Chloe Sweatt and Michael Mathew-James Sweatt. He is also survived by his sisters, Connie Travis Hampton and Teresa Travis Melton; nieces, Tracee Fierro (Dan),Vanessa Dean (Lucas) and Constance Evans (Brandon) along with several great-nieces and nephews, a host of extended relatives, friends and life-long friend, Greg Thomas.
Teddy loved his family, working in the yard and most of all Jesus Christ. Teddy had various hobbies over the years including riding dune buggies and motorcycles, drag racing, hunting arrowheads, spelunking and browsing flea malls.
He was hardworking, kind-hearted, artistic, talented and very generous. He was also a prankster with a quick wit.
A visitation for Teddy will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
