

Cory was the type of person who never met a stranger turning any bad day into a good day with his funny sense of humor and kind spirit. He loved his children more than anything in the world allowing them to use him as a jungle gym and making the simplest days into memories they will cherish forever. Cory loved being creative and expressing his art in the form of tattoos. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mitzi Blacker and Rebecca “Oma” Martin; his grandfather, Greg Blacker; his great grandparents, Jewel Martin, Margaret Chasteen and Norman Chasteen; and his Uncle, Bobby Blacker.
Cory is survived by his wife, Patty Ann Blacker; his daughter, Journey Rayne Blacker; his son, Asher Cain Blacker; his mother, Andrea Blacker; and his father, Tommy Martin; his grandfather, David “Opa” Martin; his brothers, Jamey Smith, Shane Smith, Taylor and Terri Viverios and their daughter Kairi, Alex Viverios, and Evan Viverios; his sister, Kelsey Murphee; his aunt, Wendy and her husband John Steele and their children, Matthew and Crystal Steele and their son Jaxson, Mason Steele, Madi Steele, Julian Harris, and Elliot Edge; his aunt, Erica Blacker; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were thought of as family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A Celebration of Cory’s Life will begin at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
