David A Reid

David is survived by his wife, Peggy Reid; his children, Brandy Malone (Brian) and Bridget Yazel (Billy); grandchildren Lexi Reid, Adam Yazel, Bronson Dean Taylor, Colten Yazel, Chase Malone, Elsa Malone, and Will Yazel; siblings Elizabeth Weir and Michael Reid; lifelong friends, Buddy Reynolds, Donnie Averhart, and the entire McGregor family; and a host of aunts, uncles, and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Mary Ann Reid; brother, Danny Reid; nephew, Phillip Reid.

David was born to Mary Ann Reid and Howard J. Reid on April 8th, 1963 in Birmingham, AL. He was married for 38 wonderful years to his high school sweetheart, Peggy Reid. He worked at Howard Reid Optician in Gardendale, AL until graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Paramedic.

David was always in overalls, he was an avid fisherman, he was a storyteller, and he had a joke for every occasion. David and his wife travelled all over, but the beach was his favorite place. He was a Braves and Auburn fan, he would sit in Walmart parking lot at closing time to people-watch, and he loved “Sunday drives” any day of the week. His greatest passion in life was being a husband, father, and grandfather. David was an amazing friend and would do anything for anyone. Last, but not least he loved Jesus and Peggy Sue.
