Delilah L Moore

Delilah was born on October 6, 1942, in Bessemer, Alabama, to the late O.H. and Eloise Lankford. She spent much of her life in Alabaster and Fultondale, Alabama, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and friendship.

Delilah was a devoted member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She dedicated 33 years of service to BellSouth, later AT&T, where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.

She loved to travel and sightsee, always enjoying new experiences, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. Delilah will be remembered for her loving heart, her kindness, and the special way she made those around her feel cared for and welcomed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken Moore.

Delilah is survived by her daughter, Stacy Snow (Mike); and her son, Jason Moore (Brandy).

Delilah leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Zack Snow (Sara), with children Finley, Milly, and Essie; Cassie Herron (Hunter), with children Jackson and soon-to-arrive Addison; Britney Lee, with children Conor and Caleb, Tylyn; Austin Moore (Emily), with children Marley and Carter; and Ashleigh Moore (Jared Alexander).

She is also survived by her sisters, Beverly Alexander (Thomas Trissl), Jean Parsons (Arlin), and Elaine Arnold.

Delilah shared a special friendship with Harold Dykes, whose companionship meant a great deal to her in recent years.

She is further survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Delilah will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 with a visitation to be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071 from 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Graveside Service at Highland Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Jason Moore, Austin Moore, Zach Snow, Hunter Herron, Conor Hallman, and Jared Alexander.
