A resident of Gardendale, AL passed away Wednesday at the age of 87. Dollie was a member of the North Gardendale Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Holmes, 2 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by 3 daughters, Ruby Mason, Carrol Tichnell (Danny) and Teresa Mills; 4 grandchildren, Kenny, Cindy, Josh and Amber; 5 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Covenant Woods and Covenant Place Assisted Living for their years of loving care and support and to Hope Hospice personnel, Vicki, Brenda and Matt.
A funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Fri., Nov. 29 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with a time of visitation beginning 1 hour prior at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
