

Donald proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He served as a police officer with the Midfield Police Department and the Gardendale Police Department where he retired after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Unity Baptist Church in Kimberly. He was a loving and devoted husband and he enjoyed the time he was able to spend with family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, James Bazzle "Baz" and Mary Sue Green; his daughter, Vanessa Ann Eaton; and two brothers, Larry Green and Joe Green.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Moore Green; four sons, John David Green (Judy), Donald Wayne Green (Ruth), Christopher Curtis Eaton (Jamie), and Nicolas McCord Green; three brothers, James Green, Scott Green (Beverly) and Ronald Green; one sister, Pate Hale (Charlie); six grandchildren, Curtis Keith Russell (Hannah), Savannah Nicole Green, Katelynn Green, Joshua Green, Monica (Courtney) Green, and Matthew Green; four great grandchildren, Tegan Green, Rilyan Russell, Braxton Russell, and Ryder Russell; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life Services for Donald will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 with a visitation from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071; funeral service at 2:00 PM, followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
