

Donald is survived by his children Michelle Roberts (Joseph), Juddson Hydrick (Courtney) and Rachael Allen (Fred), his grandchildren Shaylee Roberts, Jackson Roberts, Barrett Hydrick & Weston Hydrick, his sisters Mary Ann Graham (Larry Burton) and Sandra Henley, nephews Daniel Graham and Austin Henley, former wife and mother of children Robyn Custred and close friend Mona Myrick and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents P.V. “Buck” and Bettie Sue Hydrick. Donald grew up in the Inglenook community, later settling in Pinson, Mt. Olive and then Garden City.
He will be remembered as a good man. A man willing to lend a hand and help those he loved whenever he could. He enjoyed being outdoors whether that was fishing, clearing his land, hunting with his son and grandson, or throwing corn out for deer with his grandkids. Donald was an experienced diesel mechanic who worked decades in the trucking industry in Birmingham, Al.
Donald’s memories will be cherished by those he knew. Services will be held at Ridout’s Chapel in Gardendale on Saturday, March 19th. Visitation at 10 AM, Funeral to follow at 11 and officiated by Brother Luther Williams. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Olive Cemetery near his parents.
