Doris was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and the best nanny. She loved her family, but most of all she loved the Lord. She worked diligently for the Lord, caring for orphans, widows, family and friends. She was an amazing school teacher. She worked at West Birmingham Christian school and then for the Jefferson County school system.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lulabell Smythe, two brothers, James Smythe and Gene Smythe, her sister, Grace Larue Cullum, her husband, Charles London, and Daughter, Lisa London.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a graveside service for family only.
