Dorothy L. Mann

Dorothy “Dot” Lowery Mann of Warrior, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the age of 80. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She retired from the U.S. Postal Department where she served as clerk, carrier, Assistant Post Master and Post Master with Warrior and Hayden Post offices. Mrs. Mann was also a longtime member of the Hayden United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse J. Lowery and Katie Lean Lowery; a sister, Barbara L. Ballard; and nieces, Jan Rhodes and Jessie DeGraff. Dorothy is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Bobby Mann; her daughters, Barbara M. Haisten (James A.) and Tara M. Holt; grandchildren, Bobby James Haisten (Emily), Payton Mann Haisten (Dabney), Austin Lee Haisten (Caroline), Laura Kate Holt, and Hailey Leigh Ann Holt; great grandchildren, Easton Burden, James David Haisten, and Reid Livingston Haisten; nieces, Julie B. Marsh and Joannie Cook; other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, July 12th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM followed by chapel services on Friday beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
