

Born December 12, 1943 of Gardendale, AL, passed to his heavenly home on January 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeromy Williams, his parents, Ganus and Geneva Scarborough and his parents in love, Bill and Jearl Jones. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Jennifer Jones Salyers, his daughter, Jamie Salyers (Robbie), and his granddaughter, Brittany Williams. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Pittman, Ann Davis, and Sue Brown (Jerrel), his brother-in-love, Tom Jones, his sisters-in-love, Jerolyn Cooper (Kenneth), Jo Ann Bradberry, and a host of nieces, nephews, and long-time friends. Ed was a member of East Gardendale Baptist Church. He was a barber stylist for over 45 years and also retired from the cable company after many years of service. Ed loved the Lord, his family, animals, woodworking, and oil painting to name a few. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Services will be at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, January 26, 2018, with a visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 with the funeral service to follow at 2:00. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum following the funeral service. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jerrel Brown. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
