Edward B. Brooks, age 69 of Gardendale, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Mr. Benton was retired from Associated Groceries where he worked for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Sue “Debbie” Benton; and his parents, Wyman Benton and Willodean Smith. He is survived by his children, Brook Benton, Jake Benton, and Amy Benton; a sister, Kathy Johnston; aunt, Doris Reese; grandchild, Jaci Crow; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Pinson, AL.
