Edward "Ed" Philip Parrish Sr.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas D. Parrish, III and LeRoy Maxine Richardson; brothers, Thomas D. Parrish, IV and Roy Parrish.

Survivors include wife, Janet Williams; children, Cindy Golden (Michael), Kathy Chambers (Dale), Edward Philip Parrish, Jr (Nancy), Jennifer Brown, Julie Schifanella, Darryl Smith (March) and Stacy Scott (Kevin); grandchildren, Sarah Stinson (Joel), Andrew Golden (Rebecca), Lauren Benefield (Casey), Sonya Smith (Chris), Matthew Smith (Catie), Alyssa Taylor (Timothy), Blake Reed (Emily), Josh Smith, Sophia Schifanella and Jessica Schifanella. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Parrish served in the United States Navy on the ship U.S.S. Maddox DD731 and received numerous medal and accommodations. He was an accounting business owner for over 60 years and loved to fish and hunt.

A visitation for Ed will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A committal service will occur Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
