Ercil Wolfe Mcleroy

Ercil Wolfe McLeroy, of Prospect Community, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 86. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nana who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She entered the workforce as a secretary for several years before owning and operating her own clothing store. Mrs. McLeroy enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jack “Junior” McLeroy; and parents, James and Ida Wolfe; siblings, John Henry Wolfe, Myrtle Sperring, Flossie Dooley, Matthew Wolfe, Violet Fields, Daisey Phillips, James Wolfe, and Margaret Creel. She is survived by a sister, Betty Rice; her two sons, Larry McLeroy (Linda) and Gerald McLeroy (Kathy); four grandchildren, Shelley Lopresti (Brett), Lisa Comfort, Jada Akridge (Garrett), and Amber McLeroy; step granddaughter, Kristen Johnson (Greg); 6 great grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Epperson, James Paul Comfort, Caleb and Joshua Akridge, and Leyton Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
