Calvert, Garlon, age 85, died January 1, 2013. He was a member of Fultondale Church of Christ. He was employed by U.S. Steel for 45 years, and loved cattle farming for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colene Calvert. He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Falls (Jimmy); son, David Calvert (Kathleen); grandchildren, Brandon Falls, Asheley Falls, Shannon Williamon, Jay Falls, Quinnlan, Piersson, and Sӧren Calvert; great grandchildren, Laden, Jake, Kate & Cooper Falls, and Charlie & Bennett Williamon.
He was a beloved father, husband and grandfather. He always had a smile and never met a stranger.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 4, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with burial to follow at Cullman City Cemetery.
