Geraldine Thomas

Geraldine Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024. Born December 21, 1944, Geraldine lived a life with love, kindness and devoted to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 50 years, Marcus Randall Thomas; her parents, Floyd Patterson and Ruby Pearl Patterson and by her siblings, Doris Patterson, Raybon Patterson, Gordon

Patterson and Donald Patterson.

Geraldine is lovingly remembered by her children, Misty (Frankie) Traffica and Kristy (Danny) Spann; her cherished grandchildren, Kylie (Gerard) Younger, Mackenzie (Cameron) Crane, Samuel Traffica and Brooklyn Spann; great-grandchild, Skye Younger and sister, Shelia (Roger) Langston.

A women of unwavering faith, Geraldine had a deep love for Jesus and a passion for Alabama football. Her heart of gold, pure soul and selfless nature made her a wonderful wife, friend, mother and grandmother. She always put others first and touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Fireside Room at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Rd, Gardendale, AL 35071.

Geraldine will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
