Hugh Vaughn Connell

Hugh Vaughn Connell, age 79 of Blountsville, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Hugh dedicated his life to ministry. He loved preaching and ministering to others. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 40 years Ruby Eloise Connell; son Hugh Gregory Connell; parents William (Buck) and Virginia Connell; and granddaughter Kelsey Rae Lewis.

Hugh is survived by his children, Rhonda Lewis (Gary), Regina Reilly (David), son Terry Broadwater; brother William (Eddie) Connell (Patty); Grandchildren, Nikki Runnels (Bradley), Brandon Lewis (Emma), Blake Lewis (Amanda), Zack Carter and Lucas Reilly. Six Great Grandchildren; Grayson Runnels, Brynlee Runnels, Lee Lewis, Fischer Lewis, Griffin Lewis and Logan Lewis. Along with a host of family and friends.

A celebration of life visitation for Hugh will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life service will occur Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
