J.B. was born in Moulton, Alabama, one of five children. He was a jack of all trades who enjoyed working on projects in his garage. He also loved to go fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Versie Rogers, sister, Lavern Frachiseur; brothers, Gene Rogers and Alton Rogers and one grandson, Joel Kemp.He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Rogers; 3 daughters, Brenda Kemp (Jerry) of Pell City, Kathy Blake of Birmingham, Darlene Thrailkill (Eddie) of Mount Olive; 3 grandchildren, Toby Kemp, Joshua Thrailkill and Olivia Thrailkill and One great grandchild, Dylan Kemp; brother, Cleon Rogers of Ashville; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, May 22 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm. Entombment will follow in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
