Born in Cullman, AL, he was the son of Harvey C. Brown and Mary O. Brown. He graduated from Tarrant High School in 1953. J.C. was self-employed in brick masonary after retiring from Jim Walters.
J.C. and Annette are members of Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist. He enjoyed tinkering with anything and watching the birds off his back deck. He will be remembered for his love of everyone and the amazing stories he could tell.
He is survived by wife, Annette N. Brown and granddaughter, Kaylinn Brown Childers (Jason). He was preceded in death by his two sons, Kerry Brown and Greg Brown.
Services, lead by Brother Jason, will be held Friday, March 19th at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with visitation 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Funeral service at 2:00 pm and graveside following at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
