

Farrell was a graduate of Springdale High School. He was a decorated WWII Vet, serving our country in the United States Army, receiving three Bronze Stars and other metals, grade T5, Mystery Division, spearheaded for General Patton during his service. He married Eloise Goodwin in 1946 and worked many years as a Paint Contractor. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 255. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Farrell was preceded in death by his parents, Riller and Margaret Jones, his loving wife, Eloise Jones, his brother, R.L. Jones, and a grandson, Yancey Roper.
Farrell is survived by a son, Tommy Jones (Becky); two daughters, Candy Culwell (Jake) and Debbie Wells (Gary); six grandchildren, Selina (Drake), Tommy, Jr., Wendy (Cody), Brandy (John), Gary (Alyson), and Todd (Whitney); fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Special thanks to the staff of Hope Hospice for their care and support during Dad's last days.
A visitation for Farrell will be held Monday, April 18, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Farrell will be laid to rest in Moncrief Cemetery, Gardendale, AL, with military honors.
