James "Terry" Naugher

December 7, 1947 – February 28, 2025

James “Terry” Naugher, age 77, passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1947, and was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Naugher, Sr. and Betty Sue Wiley Naugher, his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Cornelia McGowen Naugher, and siblings, Mark Naugher and Margaret Ann Naugher Frye.

Terry is survived by his brother, William Earl Naugher, Jr.; daughters, Jennifer Ledlow (Brian) and Amy Greenwood (Ian); and four grandchildren, Margaret Greenwood, Logan Ledlow, Lilian Greenwood, and Katie Greenwood.

Terry was a graduate of Midfield High School. He spent 15 years of his career at Long Lewis Ford and also worked for U.S. Steel for 10 years. He was a devoted member of New Castle Church in his earlier years and later attended Hope Community Church, formerly known as Gardendale-Mt. Vernon UMC, where he found community and spiritual connection.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Hope Community Church, to the Lyons Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 5th, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in the Magnolia Hall. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.

Terry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.
