Jessie Houston Murphy, age 65 of Remlap, AL passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Murphy; 2 sons, Steve Starkley and Ricky Starkley; grandchildren, Kelli Borella, Tracy Black, Karen Dodson, and Tammy McRay; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, Johnnie Rhoades. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed.
Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 pm with funeral services Tuesday at the chapel beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
