Jimmy H. Chamblee

November 19, 1947 – August 14, 2016

Jimmy, a resident of Montevallo, AL, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 68. Jimmy proudly served our country in the United States Army. He loved life and he loved his family and friends and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Jamie and Donald B. Chamblee; brothers, Donald R. Chamblee, Joe E. Chamblee and Jerry B. Chamblee; a nephew, Donald J. Chamblee.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Peggy Chamblee; sons, Bryan Chamblee (Leanne) and Doug Baird (Tina); daughter, Kelly Fisher (Robert); brother, Ralph W. Chamblee; sister, Sue C. Marsh (Gary); grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Abbie, Jessica, Jared, and Freiley; great grandchildren, Luke and Ryleigh Jo; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, August 16, 2016 with a visitation to begin at 1pm; funeral service at 2pm followed by his burial at Ryan’s Cemetery, in Maylene, AL.
