John Raymond LaBorde

John Raymond LaBorde, age 78, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away Tuesday night, December 28, 2021. Raymond was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 6, 1943. He graduated from Hueytown High School and Athens College. He retired from Birmingham Fasteners. He was a member of GracePoint at Mount Olive. Raymond loved sharing a laugh with his grandchildren, viewing antique cars at local car shows and hunting with friends and family.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary LaBorde. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruby Poe LaBorde; his son, Chris (Irma) LaBorde and his daughter Jennifer (Bo) Ragsdale; his granddaughters, Ella and Charlee Ragsdale; and his grandson, Gage LaBorde.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Ridout’s Gardendale, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071; a graveside service to immediately follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Cornerstone Ranch, POB 152, Gardendale, AL 35071.
