Johnny E Yeager Sr. (Big John) 89, of mount Olive, Alabama passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017 at home amongst his family. Naval veteran serving on the USS El Dorado and Served in the Korean War Johnny was preceded in death by his son Johnny E Yeager Jr. He is survived by his wife Lola, son Jeff and his wife Kristin, grandchildren Allyson, Grant, Hope and Grace. Grandchildren Chris Yeager and wife Crystal, Chelsea Swann. 2 Great grandchildren Lauren and Riley. He worked for the Birmingham News as a Typesetter and finished his career as a rural letter carrier in Mount Olive for the United States Postal Service. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday December 19, 2017 from 13:00-14:00 with a Celebration of Life service at 14:00. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
