Lester a resident of Gardendale, AL, passed peacefully away at the age of 94. Lester served our country in WWII in the U.S. Navy. Lester was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Della Abbott; his loving wife of over 60 years, Myrtle Louise Abbott. Lester is survived by his son, Michael Abbott (Debbie); daughter, Cynthia Abbott Clark (Doug); brothers, Olen Abbott, and Leon Abbott; sister, Pauline Yeager; many other family members and a host of friends. Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, April 26 with a visitation to begin at 1:00pm and a funeral service at 2:00pm followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
