Linda Faye Nelson

Linda Faye Nelson, age 82 of Morris, Alabama passed away on February 15, 2024. She was born to the late Una and Frances Morgan on December 13, 1941. Linda was a member of Grace Temple Church of Springville, Alabama, she loved the Lord and gospel music. She enjoyed quilting, gardening flowers and vegetables, canning summer vegetables, adored burning candles, thrifting and antiquing for the best deals, and found comfort in the sound of trains.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Lavon Nelson; her daughter, Rita Faye Cox; her father, Una E. Morgan; her mother, Frances Katherene Wilson; and several brothers and sisters. Linda is survived by her four children and their spouses that she loved; Charles and Patricia Cox, Gary and Tamara Nelson, Tina and Scott Harris, and Sandy and Neal Cater; her grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Cox, Amanda Cox, Ashton Stone, Jordan and Jesse Turner, Ryan Cater, and Cody and Kaylyn Cater; and her great grandchildren, Mallory and Caroline Cox, Jacob Beasley, and James Turner; her brothers, Edgar and Jimmie Nell Morgan, and Donald Wayne Morgan; and her sister Patricia and Gary Petry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Mrs. Linda.
